The trans fats thing here is really the biggest story. It's really pathetic what's been going on with trans fats in this country. I'm really happy to see that the FDA is finally taking a stand on this issue. The healthcare system in this country is going to become even more bankrupt than it already is if we don't start focusing on preventing diseases through nutrition instead of treating diseases. That's the main problem with the healthcare system today. It was great how the New York City Department passed a law banning trans fats in restaurants a few years ago in New York City. I think we need to get the FDA to ban trans fats on a nationwide level. I'm a pre-med student and I started an online petition to get the FDA to ban trans fats nationwide.
