Jimmy's No. 43 Will Hold Its Third Annual Cassoulet Cook-Off on Jan. 22

Like certain people, we're familiar with cook-off fatigue, that ailment that accompanies the specter of standing in long lines to eat food prepared in conditions conducive, shall we say, to bacterial procreation.

That said, there is something very comforting about being served cassoulet from someone's Le Creuset in subterranean surroundings, particularly when it's accompanied by high-quality beer. Apparently Jimmy Carbone thinks so too, which is why he's now accepting entries for Jimmy No. 43's third-annual Cassoulet Cook-Off. The event, which will benefit the Greenmarket, will be held Saturday, January 22. More information can be found here.

I’ve been using my grill pan often and I have to say I absolutely love it. It’s been a little getting used to with how to heat it up and brush it with oil for optimum use, but I can’t wait to use it for continual new recipes and beautiful grill marks.
