Smashburger to Colonize Fort Greene Condo Tower

The future home of Smashburger.
As it inches closer to opening in Brooklyn, Smashburger has provided Diner's Journal with the address of its first location, in Fort Greene. The burger chain will open on the ground floor of 80 DeKalb, an appropriately grandiose condo tower near Flatbush Avenue. The building, of course, is mere blocks from Shake Shack's upcoming Fulton Mall outpost. But however it compares with New York's home team, at least it's not as pre-emptively annoying as Cheeburger Cheeburger, that other burger chain that's set to inflict itself upon the area.
