Starbucks Finds Ways to Make People Drink Even More Coffee

starbucks.jpg
Starbucks sure knows how to caffeinate America, having recently introduced its ginormous 31-ounce Trenta size. Now it's come up with a way to get people even more hooked on their java: a mobile application that lets customers pay via their iPhones or BlackBerrys.

After placing your order, a barista will scan your mobile device, which will display a Starbucks card bar code. So you still need to own a Starbucks card, but you won't need to fumble around in your wallet. Still it seems pretty fun and high-tech to pay via one's cell phone. It's only a matter of time until humans get chips embedded in their arms.
