Billy's Bakery Branches Out to Elizabeth Street

Cupcakes take the cake.

Billy's Bakery has expanded to Nolita, having opened an annex at 268 Elizabeth Street (212-219-9956) on Monday. We popped in yesterday to check out the sugary treats. With only one table, it's not very conducive to lingering, and a store employee told us that for now this location currently stocks only half of the goodies available at their other branches. They're presently waiting for another refrigerated case to arrive, but the classic cupcakes are there. Fully ensuring that the cupcake trend will never, in fact, die.
