Merchants NY, which houses one of the city's last cigar bars and the upstairs space the Food Network's Pat and Gina Neely have announced will house their forthcoming restaurant, will close after Super Bowl Sunday. Renovations will start on the space immediately, according to an insider, and Neely's Barbecue Parlor is now expected to open in mid-March.

As recently reported, Wade Burch of Steamers Landing will be the executive chef at the barbecue joint. The Neelys, who host the Food Network's Down Home With the Neelys, had originally planned to call the restaurant Neely's Pig Parlor, but have now settled on this less porcine name.

Grammar check anyone?? wtf??? The 1st sentence makes absolutely no sense and is a totally fragmented run-on. I did not bother to read the rest, I'm still trying to make sense of the 1st sentence's jibberish.

Ugh, hope their bbq isn't as annoying as their personalities.

Cigar Bar will stay open- it is ONLY the upstairs restaurant that is changing.
