Pret A Manger Plans Sandwich Domination of New York

pretsandwich.jpg
Good news for sandwich-in-a-box lovers and other office workers: British chain Pret A Manger is hoping to triple its presence in New York City over the next two years.

According to The Commercial Observer, Pret hopes to open 15 to 20 new stores this year in the city and an additional 15 to 20 stores the next year. The chain currently operates 24 sandwich shops throughout New York City. Given that it caters to the office-worker crowd, Pret will be targeting areas with high office traffic, like Midtown, downtown, the Flatiron District, and MetroTech in Brooklyn. The chain is currently doing very well, so expect more prepackaged tuna baguettes coming soon to a lunch near you.
