Shorty Tang's Noodles Are Resurrected in Carroll Gardens

yrrab.png
When he was in the kitchen at Chinatown's Hwa Yuan restaurant, Shorty Tang cooked some of the most legendary cold sesame noodles in the city's culinary history. For a few brief, precious hours this afternoon, his grandsons Casey and Gilley are resurrecting the dish in honor of Chinese New Year at Court Street Grocers in Carroll Gardens. Per Diner's Journal, the noodles, fortified with tahini, peanuts, and scallions, will be available all afternoon until supplies run out. And at $6 a pint, they'll probably run out sooner than later.
