Veselka Is Besieged by Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl has managed to do what a blizzard and encroaching chain stores failed to: It has shut down Veselka, at least for the afternoon and probably the rest of the evening.
A walk by a few minutes ago turned up lots of bright lights and people milling about with headsets and clipboards. Small clusters of teenage girls roamed the neighboring sidewalks, pausing every few feet to squint into the restaurant's windows for a glimpse of a comely actor or two. At one point Penn Badgley, who plays the mopey yet crushable Dan Humphrey, stood outside of the front door before being directed to go inside, where a bunch of men stood around a camera and nobody was eating much of anything.
