Groan: Someone Has Created Bacon Air (Or Have They?)
And here we thought people had stopped launching useless, gimmicky bacon products. But, alas, no. J&D's Foods, makers of Baconnaise, BaconPOP (popcorn), and Bacon Salt, have just announced the release of BaconAir™: bacon-flavored air.
Well, this blows.
Justin Esch and Dave Lefkow, the "J&D" of J&D Foods, say they were inspired by the gastro scientists at Le Whif in Paris who have invented, among other things, breathable chocolate. According to the J&D Facebook page, BaconAir contains 95 percent "pure Himalayan oxygen" and, um, no calories. It's supposedly available on the J&D Foods website for $8.99. But, of course, it's not. Because this was all an elaborate April Fool's hoax. Wah-wah.
