Housing Works' A Chef Tasting Benefit Returns
Feel good as you get fed. The second annual Housing Works A Chef Tasting benefit takes place Tuesday, March 29, hosted by Alex Guarnaschelli of Butter and the Darby. Other chefs making an appearance (and their signature dishes) will include Brad Farmerie of Public and Double Crown; the Harrison's pastry chef, Colleen Grapes; Luis Nieto of the Palm Tribeca; and Housing Works' own chef, Tessa Liebman, who took over from Michael Sherman about six months ago.

Sherman was hired about a year ago to ramp up the offerings in the Used Bookstore Café on Crosby Street, and a greater focus on food has ensued. The event will also include guac by Dos Caminos, Hendrick's Gin cocktails, and Intelligentsia coffee. The cost is $65, with $15 off for members, and $100 for a VIP ticket, which includes a private tour and time to mingle with the chefs. As always, proceeds go toward helping homeless New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS.
