Metromix Readers Love ABC Kitchen, Andrew Carmellini, Shake Shack, and Other Things
A mere day after Food & Wine's People's Best New Chef Award broke the seal on the food world's award season, Metromix has followed suit with its Best of Metromix 2011. 
The site's readers voted in 31 categories, and there's no way in hell we're going to list even a fraction of them. That said, ABC Kitchen netted the best restaurant win, while Shake Shack got best burger, Locanda Verde took home best Italian (obviously, Pino Luongo wasn't voting), and Stumptown snagged best coffee. Oh, and Billy's Bakery won best cupcakes, which seems innocuous enough, but in this day and age might induce another frightening instance of cupcake rage.
