Schnitzel & Things and Big Gay Ice Cream Truck Will Be Featured on TV, Expect Longer Lines Soon

Food trucks are just dominating television content these days. Following in the footsteps of The Great Food Truck Race and Food Truck Revolution (and, naturally, the food truck porno The Flying Pink Pig) comes a new show called Eat Street on Cooking Channel about the country's best food trucks.

Eat Street will be hosted by comedian James Cunningham and will explore the rise of the food-truck industry and the people behind the scenes. Perhaps somewhat unsurprisingly, New York's two featured trucks will be the Schnitzel & Things truck (on April 12 at 8 p.m.) and the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck (on April 19 at 8 p.m.), which alluded to filming just last week, and whose gregarious owner Doug Quint is basically made for television. That's all the love that New York street food gets, but knowing food television programming, there'll probably be a second season somewhere down the line.
