St. Patrick's Day

Chef Saul Bolton teams up with Dogfish Head Brewery for a celebration of traditional Irish cooking with a Nouveau American twist. The $35 four-course tasting menu features house-smoked salmon with horseradish, crispy fried eggs over blood sausage and hash, slow-roasted lamb shoulder with cabbage and potatoes, and Irish soda bread pain perdu for dessert. Each course will be paired with a Dogfish Head brew at additional cost.
Venica & Venica Tasting
Tuesday, March 15, 5 p.m.
Beverage director and co-owner Joe Campanale is hosting this producer night, with winemaker Giampaolo Venica of Venica & Venica as the guest of honor. He'll be pouring Venica's 2009 Sauvignon Ronco delle Mele, 2009 Pinot Grigio Jesera, and 2009 Friulano Ronco delle Cime, among others.
$10 Austrian Wine Tasting
Thursday, March 17, 4 p.m.
Think $10 doesn't buy you squat these days? At Café Kristall this week, a tenner will get you samples of wines from 12 wineries, including Birgit Eichinger, Kurt Angerer, and the ever-popular F.X. Pichler. You'll get to hobnob with the winemakers and snack on bites from chef Kurt Gutenbrunner. Order tickets online by tomorrow and pay just $5.
