Dare to Dream: New York May Soon Have One Less T.G.I. Friday's

Although frozen yogurt continues to proliferate unchecked, here's one sign that corporate chains aren't completely infallible: The T.G.I. Friday's in Times Square may be closing. According to the New York Post, the Riese Corporation, which owns the restaurant chain, is selling the 15,000-square-foot building that houses T.G.I.'s 46th Street and Broadway location, leaving Midtown with only seven other T.G.I. outposts. It's likely that the restaurant will be replaced by another chain; after all, landlords do love them some Olive Gardens and Pret A Mangers.
