Whole Foods to Spray Green All Over the Big Screen

Whole Foods has announced it will host a monthlong environmental film festival called Do Something Reel in April. Really, it's a program of six documentaries that will be shown in some 70 cities, including New York, from the beginning of April through mid-May.

On the roster is Urban Roots, about urban farming in Detroit; Bag It!, about the surplus of plastic bags; Lunch Line, about the school lunch program; On Coal River, about the effects of coal mining; Planeat, about America's obsession with meat and dairy; and Vanishing of the Bees, about colony collapse (and narrated by Ellen Page). Proceeds will go toward grants for -- what else? -- more environmentally minded films.
