There Was a Small Fire at Delicatessen Earlier This Morning

Around 9:30 this morning, a small fleet of fire trucks was summoned to the corner of Prince and Lafayette streets to extinguish a fire at Delicatessen. Eater reports that the fire was relatively minor, and may have resulted from some work being done to the restaurant's air-conditioning system. Firefighters quickly put out the blaze, but left the restaurant flooded and with its ceiling ripped out. It will be closed for the remainder of the day and possibly tomorrow.
