Don't Go Away, Crepeaway! A New Pancake Spot Lands in NYU Territory

International House of Pancakes. Literally.

You'd think when one shop fails, the restaurant taking its place shouldn't have the exact same concept. But the owners of Crepeaway, a brand-new creperie near NYU, don't agree, having revamped the space formerly occupied by Crepe Creations.

Seems rather dubious, but Crepeaway appears to have mastered the college market down at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Interestingly, however, the company is based out of Athens, Greece. Not quite the crepe capital of the world, but whatever!

The menu offers the standard range of sweet and savory crepes, reasonably priced from $5 to $7, many of them named after various people (for example, the Nutella, strawberry, banana, and blueberry stuffed crepe is the "Obama," and the "Kobe" has Nutella, chocolate chips, and blueberries). No Suzette, though.
