Goods Has Driven Off Into the Sunset

Alas: Goods, the 1946 Spartan trailer that parked itself in Williamsburg last May, is no more.

Brownstoner found a real estate listing for the truck, which was a project of 3rd Ward. It's asking $250,000 for the business, which also includes an outdoor seating area and beer and wine license.

When Goods opened, 3rd Ward's Jason Goodman told us that he and his crew "wanted to make stuff everyone understands and would eat often." Apparently everyone didn't eat there often enough, though we did like its fish 'n' chips.

One imagines that plenty of concepts could do well operating out of a trailer: It's not hard to imagine someone selling ice cream out of one, or tacos or falafel or any other of the many foods that people seem to like to eat out of something with four wheels. Or maybe Momofuku could expand their Williamsburg operations and sell crack pie out of the thing -- after all, what's good enough for the Goldman Sachs cafeteria is good enough for the Lorimer L stop.

I went here one time and ordered the butcher plate. I received the most pathetic shit ever, like 2 small pieces of cold sausage, a little corn muffin, and a slice of roast beef. This place sucked balls.
