Reginella Closes, Letting the Hot Dog-and-Fries Pizza Dream Die

Reginella zips up its hot-dog pie.
Reginella, the casual Italian on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn Heights, has closed.

A walk by the restaurant last week revealed that the windows are papered over and a sign says the owners, who also own Savoia on Smith Street, plan to reopen soon with a new concept. Looks like hot-dog-and-french-fries pizza wasn't such a good idea after all.

Has reopened as Catania. (Funny that it's owned by Savoia, which is very good, because Reginella never was very good.)
