Order Another Venti, While You're at It. Starbucks Is Now the Third Largest Chain

Holy Grande! Starbucks is now the country's third largest restaurant chain, based on domestic sales, having surpassed both Burger King and Wendy's, according to USA Today.

The Seattle-based coffee chain still comes in behind behemoth McDonald's and sandwich franchise Subway, but this is particularly shocking since Starbucks doesn't even sell much in the way of fast food, save for some sad sandwiches and a variety of pastries. But that's because consumers have shifted away from "unhealthy" foods and perceive Starbucks as a healthy alternative. Just don't tell them to look at the calorie count of the Venti Mocha Chip Blended Frappuccino (a whopping 510 calories).
