A couple of weeks ago, Heather Carlucci-Rodriguez told us that she'd be resurrecting Lassi at Txikifest, a street fair organized by Txikito's Alex Raij and Eder Montero. Now, Raij has sent us some more details about the event, which will take place on Sunday, May 1.

The festivities will occur in the alley behind Txikito, and feature street food that pairs well with Txakoli, a low-alcohol dry white wine from the Basque country that's issued each spring. There will also be Sidra, a Basque hard cider, so between that and the Txakoli, the bonhomie factor is likely to run high.

Raij and Montero have rounded up an impressive selection of talent to participate in the fair. In addition to serving their own food from Txikito and El Quinto Piño, the chefs will be joined by Lassi's Rodriguez, Co.'s Jim Lahey, Edi & the Wolf's Wolfgang Ban and Edi Frauneder, Hurricane Club's Craig Koketsu, La Newyorkina's Fany Gerson, Taïm's Einat Admony and Stefan Nafziger, and Ashley Christensen of Poole's Downtown Diner in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Tickets are $45 in advance, and benefit the organization Finding a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures (FACES). You can find them here.
