2011 Vendy Awards Tickets Are Now on Sale
It's mid-April, which means it's time to start thinking about things that will happen in late September. Specifically, it is time to start thinking about the 2011 Vendy Awards, which will take place on September 24.
Like last year, the awards will be held on Governors Island. Unlike last year, there is now an award for "Most Heroic Vendor," which will recognize the "non-culinary contributions vendors make to New York City." You know, like spotting would-be car bombers in Times Square. Starting now, you can nominate both heroic vendors and regular vendors who make good food. You can also buy Early Bird tickets; given our experience at last year's awards, you may also want to buy a pair of elastic waist pants.
