Categories: Events, Featured

As you may know, our weekly dining and drinking newsletter features all the coolest epicurean events in the city. Sign up for it here!

Brooklyn Brewery Beer Dinner
The Vanderbilt
Tuesday, April 19, 7:30 p.m.

Following beer dinners with the brewers from Sixpoint and Dogfish Head, chef Saul Bolton invites Brooklyn's Garrett Oliver to the restaurant for a four-course beer-pairing dinner for $50. White asparagus with a poached egg, house-cured pancetta, and sabayon is accompanied by Brooklyner Weisse, Belgian tripe sausage by Brooklyn Wild One.

Passover à la Mexicana
Rosa Mexicano
April 18 through April 25

Celebrate Passover the Mexican way with such fusion dishes as Haroset Sangria, escabeche Judeo, rolled crispy corned beef tacos, shaved jicama filled with pickled herring, and banana leaf-wrapped barbecued beef brisket. The combinations might sound crazy, but don't worry -- the chefs here have been doing it for years.

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt
Fatty Crab
Sunday, April 24, noon

The restaurant has teamed up with a group of local businesses for this event. Visit any of the participating retail shops -- including Rebecca Taylor, Tracy Reese, and Trina Turk -- for hidden plastic Fatty eggs on shelves, in drawers, or in any other clever places they can think of. The eggs contain prizes, from free drink tickets to dinner for two.
