New York Loves Japan

Join some of the most influential Japanese chefs and sake distributors for an evening of fundraising and sake tasting. Some 100 sakes will be featured, along with food pairings from 15 East, Bond Street, Buddakan, EN Japanese Brasserie, Kajitsu, Tanuki Tavern, and wd~50. All proceeds go toward the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Saturday, April 20, 11:30 a.m.

Chefs Ivy Stark and Scott Linquist will lead this demonstration-style lesson featuring contemporary twists on classic Mexican dishes, including the requisite Paloma cocktail to start, Tacos al Pastor, and Café de Olla Crema-Fillled Churros for dessert. The cost is $65.

Cherry Blossom Festival
EN Japanese Brasserie
Through April 30

This annual festival symbolizes the start of spring. The restaurant is celebrating the season with not only hundreds of cherry-blossom (sakura) branches as decorations, but also chef Hiroki Abe's kaiseki menu filled with the edible flowers, for $95. For example, sakura-smoked sashimi, and grilled tilefish marinated in cherry-blossom daishi.
