This week, Fork in the Road will be running extra stories in honor of Cinco de Mayo ("5th of May"), a principally Mexican-American holiday celebrating the immigrant group's Mexican heritage. It commemorates a Mexican army's victory over France at the Battle of Puebla (1862).
Yesterday, we ran a photo essay on East Harlem's Cinco de Mayo street fair.
