Beer-happy picnickers were not too happy at this Sunday's first annual Brewers' Pic Nyc at Governors Island about having to wait for a whole extra hour before they could start drinking. Organizers were apparently confused about New York's blue laws, which were changed in 2006, making it legal to sell alcohol after 8 a.m. on Sundays.

Martha Stewart now has an iPad cocktail app. The 99-cent application allows you to browse 20 recipes ranging from an Herbal Lillet Cooler to a Caiprinha.

Absolut is releasing Absolut SF today, a blend of grape, dragon, and papaya flavors meant to capture San Francisco's "unique cultures, ethnicities and culinary delights."

Rosa Mexicano, Goat Town, and even wd~50 serve beer cocktails. The latter's is called a Black & Yellow, a play on the Black & Tan made with kumquat-infused gin.
