Don Peppe to outgrow Queens
Don Peppe, in Ozone Park, is gearing up to open its first Manhattan outpost next year. But Manhattanites aren't the only ones about to get introduced to the Queens mainstay.

According to the Post, fans of the show Entourage will get a dose of Don Peppe when the character known as Turtle tries to import the restaurant to Hollywood with the Knicks' Amar'e Stoudemire and the Yankees' Mark Teixeira. The family-run establishment has been a fixture on Lefferts Boulevard for more than 47 years, but dates back about 100 years to its original location in Brooklyn. Owner John De Luca says he wants the Manhattan outpost to be high-end and is looking at spaces in the Meatpacking District.
