It's time for Tuesday Toasts, our weekly feature highlighting the Fork in the Road team's favorite versions of popular dishes and favorite spots in the city for a given activity. They might not be the best or the coolest or the newest, but instead represent the things and places that are near and dear to our hearts. Will the team have wildly diverging opinions, or do great minds think alike? There's only one way to find out. Up this week: Our Favorite Sushi.

"I still love the mini Yama empire for reliable, affordable sushi. Each location has its own personality. Unfortunately, the one that closed on Houston was a favorite for the flamboyant host, always in excellent suits and fiercely coiffed." --Chantal Martineau

"Hasaki." --Robert Sietsema

"I love Hasaki and Kanoyama, both in the East Village. Not the fanciest or most high-end places in town, but always fresh as all get-out and reasonably priced." --Rebecca Marx

"I'm partial to Japonica because I've been going there since I was a kid and it's where I ate my first sushi." --Lauren Shockey
