Josh Pickard Looks Skyward to Greenwich Gardens

Following his success with the Dutch, Josh Pickard is looking skyward for his next project.

Per Eater, Pickard, who partnered on the Dutch with Andrew Carmellini and Luke Ostrom, went before CB2's SLA committee last night to present his plans for Greenwich Gardens, a farm-restaurant hybrid located on the roof of 609 Greenwich Street. Should all go according to plan, the 50-seat restaurant will be located in a cottage, while some 40 percent of the roof will be dedicated to greenery.

Bucolic as that may sound, the proposal met with vocal opposition from some meeting attendees who felt that the restaurant would bring down their property values. Which was about as predictable as the opening of another farm-to-table restaurant.
