Rogue McDonald's at St. Marks and Third Avenue Scores a DOH 'B'

The popular Mickey D's just east of Cooper Square has been flaunting a new DOH inspection sign -- and it looks like they made it themselves.

However, the score is accurate -- a "B," based on 18 violation points, awarded on March 9 of this year. That score is down from 22 points enumerated in the previous inspection report -- so things are looking up for Ronald McDonald.

According to nyulocal.com, a college blog, the score has been as high as 38 points in the past, enough to give it a "C."

Here are some violation highlights:

"Evidence of mice or live mice present in facility's food and/or non-food areas" (that means poops, folks).

"Plumbing not properly installed or maintained ... sewage disposal system in disrepair or not functioning properly." (Yikes!)

"Mechanical or natural ventilation system not provided, improperly installed, in disrepair and/or fails to prevent excessive build-up of grease, heat, steam condensation vapors, odors, smoke, and fumes." (In other words, the place stinks.)

"Hand washing facility not provided in or near food preparation area and toilet room." (Hello, cholera!)
