Fried chicken never felt so good.
With all the love New York City has for anything Southern-fried these days, you'll surely want to give it up for the victims of the onslaught of deadly tornadoes that hit the Southern United States in mid-April.

Seersucker in Carroll Gardens is offering the opportunity to do just that at a fundraiser being held tonight benefiting the American Red Cross. And just in time, too: The deadline for those affected to apply for food benefits is closing in. Twenty percent of all food purchases during Eat Fried Chicken, Do Good, which kicks off at 6 tonight, will be donated. It'll never feel so good to eat deep-fried bird.

When you dig in to your fried feast, keep in mind that at about 9pm your time, the city of Huntsville will be under a curfew due to continued widespread power outages. The nuclear plant at Brown's Ferry may remain offline for several more days, possibly weeks, as power lines leading out are repaired.
