The Meat Hook and Roberta's Join Forces for Rockaway Beach Bar
Brooklyn Based has the details on the gastronerd paradise that will be Rockaway Beach this summer. And the plan sounds like a foodie hipster's wet dream.

The teams behind the Meat Hook and Roberta's have joined forces to create the perfect beach bar. Rippers will feature burgers, hot dogs, veggie items like a quinoa black bean burger, and several deep-fried options. The bar will close at 7 on most nights so as not to step on the toes of long-standing bars in the area.
In addition to this epic(urean) collaboration, Caracas Arepa Bar will be dishing up its signature snacks alongside Blue Bottle Coffee. Vinegar Hill House owner Jean Adamson has teamed up with Diner alum Lindsay Robinson to form Motorboat & the Big Banana, a fry shack that also sells chocolate-covered frozen bananas dipped in pretzels, peanuts, and toffee. Vegan bakery BabyCakes, the Veggie Island farm stand, and a few as-yet-undisclosed businesses will also set up shop on the beachfront strip. We expect it will look something like if Williamsburg and the Hamptons had a love child.
