Tom Colicchio to Join Forces With Beer, Food Trucks

tcoltc.png
There will be beer.
Following in the sticky steps of Radegast Hall, Hofbrau Bierhäus, Spritzenhaus, the Standard, and La Birrera, Tom Colicchio is planting a beer garden.

Per Diner's Journal, Colicchio will open the Lot on Tap, a 350-seat bar beneath the High Line at 30th Street. Currently a vacant lot, it will offer domestic wines, local beers, non-alcoholic sodas, and, bien sûr, "local" and "sustainable" food, including a raw bar and possibly grilled steak sandwiches.

When it opens, likely in June, it will also offer a rotating cast of, yep, food trucks. Despite having not long ago opined that "the mobile restaurant thing" was the worst current food trend, Colicchio will be personally curating the selection, which will include CoolHaus, the Red Hook Lobster Pound, the Taco Truck, Kelvin Slush, and Taïm Mobile. If you can't beat 'em, draw indirect profit from 'em?
