Fork in the Road's Favorite Ice Cream in New York

It's time for Tuesday Toasts, our weekly feature highlighting the Fork in the Road team's favorite versions of popular dishes and favorite spots in the city for a given activity. They might not be the best or the coolest or the newest, but instead represent the things and places that are near and dear to our hearts. Will the team have wildly diverging opinions, or do great minds think alike? There's only one way to find out. Up this week: Our Favorite Ice Cream/Frozen Treat.

"If we're talking about gelato, then L'Arte del Gelato. If we're talking about frozen custard, then the sadly shuttered Timmy O's in Corona. If we're talking about ice cream, then Princeton's Bent Spoon -- at least until I have a chance to try one of the new shops opening here this summer." --Rebecca Marx

"Il Laboratorio del Gelato." --Chantal Martineau

"L'Arte del Gelato, preferably the hazelnut flavor. Or the corn flavor at Sundaes and Cones." --Lauren Shockey

"I often get in the fast-moving line at Shake Shack for the vanilla and chocolate custard, but the best ice cream shop is Eddie's Sweet Shop in Forest Hills." --Robert Sietsema
