François Payard Will Return to the Upper East Side This Fall

In January, word got round that François Payard would be returning to the Upper East Side to open a new patisserie sometime in the spring. Spring has come and gone with no patisserie, though it did bring pricey macarons and asshole-y cupcakes to the neighborhood.

Fortunately for area sweet fiends, The Feast has learned that Payard will open his patisserie sometime in the fall. It will boast a 25-seat "salon" and 20-seat outdoor patio, as well as the usual pastries, cakes, sandwiches, and, it goes without saying, macarons.
