Speed Demons: Lady Bartenders Race to Raise Money for Breast Cancer Research

Hate to wait for your cocktail? This Sunday at the Astor Center, the drinks will be flowing at top speed. Lynnette Marrero and Ivy Mix of the New York chapter of LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails) will host Speed Rack, a speed bartending competition featuring some of the fastest women in the biz. Proceeds go toward breast-cancer research.

In addition to cocktails, there will be craft beer and bites by Cienfuegos and Mayahuel. The panel of judges includes Clover Club's Julie Reiner, Pegu Club's Audrey Saunders, King Cocktail himself, Dale Degroff, and Time Out's Jordana Rothman. Tickets are $10.
