Where Was I Eating? This Little Piggy Had Roast Beef

Well, this little piggy -- meaning me -- didn't have the roast beef, but I did head to the East Village sandwich shop named after the nursery rhyme. The pictured sandwich is, indeed, the "other thing" at This Little Piggy Had Roast Beef.

The sandwich smushes chopped pastrami and creamy coleslaw between slices of spicy-brown-mustard-slathered seedless rye bread for $9.50. While the sandwich is good, we were a little disappointed in the bread, given that we're pro-caraway-seeds, and it was on the dry side. Nevertheless, it's a decent lunch option if you're in the East Village -- though you have to stand up against the counter to eat your sammies.

Congratulations to gargupie for guessing the restaurant. Please email me to claim your cookbook.

And to everyone else, check back in next Monday for a whole new round of Where Am I Eating?
