It's time for Tuesday Toasts, our weekly feature highlighting the Fork in the Road team's favorite versions of popular dishes and favorite spots in the city for a given activity. They might not be the best or the coolest or the newest, but instead represent the things and places that are near and dear to our hearts. Will the team have wildly diverging opinions, or do great minds think alike? There's only one way to find out. Up this week: Our Favorite Restaurants to Take Out-of-Town Guests.

"Formerly it was Roberta's, but now probably EN Japanese Brasserie." --Robert Sietsema

"I don't have one particular favorite restaurant, but I do take everyone to Russ & Daughters." --Rebecca Marx

"Roman's, because I like to get them out of Manhattan." --Chantal Martineau

"The Modern, because I love the casual cool feeling of it and it has great food and cocktails, and it's right next to MOMA, which I imagine I'd also be showing them. And maybe either Blue Ribbon Bakery or 'ino for lunch. Because who can't love fried chicken and bread pudding or truffled egg toast?" --Lauren Shockey
