Restaurants and bars, they come and they go. Here are a few making their debuts and bowing out this week.
Asian fusion restaurant Asia de Cuba, in Morgans New York hotel, will close in October. The owners will replace it with a new concept.
Leske's, the last Scandinavian bakery in Bay Ridge, closed back in May due to lease issues.
Joe's bar in the East Village appears to be closed. The shutter is down and the phone has been disconnected.
East End Kitchen brings organic, locally sourced, sustainable American bistro fare to the Upper East Side, cooked by a Joël Robuchon alum.
Upstate, in the East Village, will specialize in shucked oysters and other raw-bar items, as well as craft beer.
Maharlika, a new-wave Filipino restaurant, will be open from August 1 through January 2012 in the East Village.
Flushing gets a new massive Asian market. Sky Foods features a huge organic section in its 36,000-square-foot space.
