Blossom du Jour Is Expanding to Midtown and the UWS

Vegans, take heart: Although the food blogosphere has lately been lousy with news of burger-joint expansions, Blossom du Jour will soon add two outposts to its animal-free empire.

Pamela Elizabeth, who owns BDJ's two existing locations, writes in with the news that her vegan fast-food business, which is an offshoot of Elizabeth's Blossom restaurants, will open a stand-alone location at 165 West 67th Street on September 9. Called BDJ Express, it will have six counter seats and the same menu as the original BDJ in Chelsea. A few new items, such as potato pancakes, homemade popcorn, and a Southwestern veggie burger, will be added to the menu.

According to the BDJ website, another location will be opening in Midtown sometime during the winter, right around the time Shake Shack decides to buy the Chrysler Building.
