The Bowery Diner Goes Online, and Neon

bowdine2.png

Although the Williamsburg location of Motorino passed into the great beyond last week, Mathieu Palombino's Bowery Diner is showing unmistakable signs of life. In addition to the neon sign Bowery Boogie noticed hanging on its facade, the restaurant now has a website. There's not much to it except the image above, but interested parties can use it to apply for front- and back-of-the-house positions. Palombino has also been using Craigslist to staff his restaurant: On Monday, he put out the call for a pastry chef. Together with Veselka two blocks north, this might be lower Manhattan's best defense against rising unemployment statistics.
