Liza de Guia, the lady behind the camera
In the two years since it premiered with an episode about a then-unheard-of rooftop farm in Greenpoint, Food Curated has gained a considerable following, and with it, a place on TV sets throughout the city. On August 11, Liza de Guia's documentary series will return to NYC Life (Channel 23). The first episode, called simply "Passion," will profile the folks behind Bacon Marmalade, Widow's Hole Oyster Farm, Ben's Best Delicatessen, and Paulie Gee's. Subsequent themed episodes will focus on several of de Guia's past subjects at a time, and in doing so provide a useful guide to all things small, delicious, and, of course, curated.
