Frites 'n' Meats Hopes to Return to the Streets Next Week
Almost three months after its propane tank exploded and injured two people, the Frites 'n' Meats truck is almost ready to get back on the road.
The truck's owners announced on their blog yesterday that "the big Yellow and Orange Burger Love Palace" is "aiming to be in NYC Monday (8/8) ... location pending and we will update everyone via the blog and twitter."
When the truck does return, it will find itself attempting to park in a very different world than the one it left behind after its accident, which sent one of its owners to the hospital with serious burns. The truck is slated to be part of the new Long Island City food-truck court and, according to its Twitter feed, will hit "FiDi and SoHo for sure." Good luck finding a spot, guys.
