Indian Creperie Coming Soon to Bleecker Street

Coming soon!

Perhaps capitalizing off the success of Thiru Kumar, a/k/a "the Dosa Man," who peddles his vegan, South Indian rice-and-lentil crepes on the south side of Washington Square Park, a new spot called Indian Creperie is set to open in the upcoming weeks at 190 Bleecker Street (212-777-7188).

The narrow space is still under construction, and the website isn't revealing any info just yet. But let's hope that the shop will be dishing up some banging potato-filled dosas and not just French-style crepes with chicken tikka masala inside. Though, on second thought, that might actually be tasty. Either way, with newcomer Thelewala setting up shop nearby, and with the long-standing Kati Roll Company hawking its namesake rolls just around the corner, this little stretch of Greenwich Village is becoming quite the Indian snack-food central.
