Matt Fisher Is the New Pitmaster at R.U.B. Long Island

Looks like R.U.B.'s new Long Island location has found itself a pitmaster: A representative for the restaurant just confirmed Page Six's report earlier today that Matt Fisher has been tapped for the job. Fisher previously served as the pitmaster at B.R. Guest's Wildwood Barbecue, and is known in barbecue circles as the Hampton Smoker. R.U.B.'s new location, in East Meadow, is expected to open later this month.
