Smoked Brisket Sandwich at Fatty 'Cue, Dish No. 54
The brunch menu at Fatty 'Cue is, in many ways, more approachable than the restaurant's regular menu. There are strange sandwiches, plates of ribs, and a soup among the 10 offerings.
The smoked brisket sandwich, mounted on a toasted baguette, features cubes of fatty beef brisket slow-smoked on the premises, wads of cilantro, pickled purple onions, mayo (here rather grandly called "aioli," and smoked cheese -- which sounds like a bad idea, but turns out to be scrumptious.
