Thomas Keller Will Bestow the French Laundry Upon London

The French Laundry
If you were Thomas Keller, you'd be laughing, too.

Having conquered New York with Per Se and Bouchon, Thomas Keller is taking his seven Michelin stars even farther east, clear across the Atlantic.

Bloomberg reports that starting October 1, the chef will open a pop-up version of the French Laundry, his 17-year-old Yountville, California, restaurant, in London's Harrods department store. The 70-seat pop-up will be housed on the store's fourth floor, and employ 14 staff members imported from the real French Laundry, along with some of the its dinnerware and fixtures.

For a mere 10 days, the restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, and serve a nine-course menu for 250 pounds ($400), a price tag that will doubtless inspire as many nosebleeds as it does airline reservations.
