What to Drink at NoBar: The NoCar

A NoCar at NoBar

The bar: NoBar (608 Nostrand Avenue, Bed-Stuy)

The price: $12

Ingredients: Hennessy, Cointreau, lemon juice, served in a highball

The buzz: Think of this as a Sidecar without the sidecar or, like, two Sidecars in one glass. In other words, it's a big drink -- get a glass of water with it. Or don't and hit on your neighbor, who will probably be attractive, as so many people are in this place. You can also use this sugary lip loosener to hit on the bartender, who just might be Anthony Mackie, co-star of The Hurt Locker and The Adjustment Bureau and the owner of NoBar. Or nurse it and your water over a too-long game of free pool, as you nod your head to slow jazz or funky soul. The options are endless at this cool Bed-Stuy hangout, and don't necessarily have to involve outsize cocktails. These drinks, including the NoCar, can be a little on the sweet side, but then so is the vibe.
