In addition to books, a TV show, and a reputation as a professional shit-stirrer, Anthony Bourdain now has a publishing imprint to his name.

The New York Times' ArtsBeat blog reports that Bourdain will acquire titles for HarperCollins imprint Ecco. His eponymous line of books should release three to five titles annually. According to an Ecco press release, they will "reflect his remarkably eclectic tastes."

Daniel Halpern, Ecco's president and publisher, told the Times that Bourdain has served as an unofficial adviser to the imprint, which published both Medium Raw and the updated edition of Kitchen Confidential. Although no further details are currently forthcoming, Bourdain did tweet at Sam Sifton that "we are working on a very cool and unusual list" and "people we're talking to would make a very interesting dinner party. Except the dead guy." Until that list, dead or alive, is revealed, expect more than a few people to make a meal out of speculation.
